General Court Information Vs. Legal Advice
The Crow Tribal Court of the Judicial Branch of the Crow Nation strives to provide the very best & utmost professional services to the Crow Nation. From time to time, regarding court rules, procedures and practices, and quite frequently on a daily basis, the court staff are asked (by the general public, attorneys, lay advocates or SRL's (Pro Se)) on how to fill-out a court form; or inquire about the overall legal process.
Unfortunately, the court staff sometimes are faced with the difficult task of calculating & differentiating the responses to broad general questions or specific legal questions of the general public including Self-Represented Litigants (or Pro Se Representation) that may borderline legal advice. We, the Crow Tribal Court staff, offer our apologies if at times we cannot offer you, your attorney, or your tribal advocate the correct solution or response to most, any, or all of your questions as the court staff cannot provide any type of legal advice. Below is a tribal court document that explains the difference of what the tribal court staff can/cannot provide, you will then be referred to speak with an attorney or tribal advocate. |
