NOTICE OF JULY 2022 CROW TRIBAL BAR EXAM:
 
The Appellate Court of the Crow Nation will offer the next Crow Tribal Bar Examination on Friday, July 15, 2021, at 9:00 a.m. in the Crow Tribal Court building located at 409 Makawasha Lane Crow Agency, MT. Applicants will have four hours to complete the examination, including a 10-minute break at 11:00am. Do not leave the immediate vicinity, and do not discuss the exam with anyone during the break. Examinations and materials will remain in the examination room.

Applications for the examination will be at the Office of the Clerk or the Crow Tribal Court and
 must be completed and returned to the Office of the Clerk of the Crow Tribal court no later than 9:00 a.m. on Friday, July 1, 2022, to be eligible for the examination.
 
Registration for this examination will require a $100 administrative fee that must be paid when the application is handed into the Office of the Clerk of Court. At registration, applicants must advise the Clerk of their desire to use a computer so that technical arrangements can be made.
 
A computer is not necessary to take the examination, but applicants wishing to use computers must bring their own, including any power cords, monitors or other accessories. Computers must be set up in the exam room and ready to use prior to commencement of the examination at 9:00 a.m. During the examination, computers may not be used for any purpose other than to view the application materials and type answers.
 
Applicants may use the Crow Law and Order Code ("CLOC"), the Crow Constitution, and the Crow Bar Exam Review materials only. Cell phones, laptops, and/or word processors may NOT be used for any purpose. No other materials may be taken into the examination room.
 
A bar review course will be offered on Friday, July 8, 2022, between 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. at the Crow Tribal Court, located at 409 Makawasha Lane, Crow Agency, MT 59022.

Successful completion of the Crow Tribal Bar Examination does not automatically permit the applicant to practice before the Crow Tribal Court. For admission, the additional requirements set out in Title 3, Chapter 7 of the Crow Law and Order Code, which include a background investigation, character and fitness verification, must be completed.

Montana Legal Services Association-Free Legal Clinic-September 29, 2021

Have you been impacted by recent wildfires? Are you having trouble filing a claim or contacting your insurance company? Have you applied for government benefits and been denied? The Disaster Legal Services Program at Montana Legal Services Association provides free legal help to low-income survivors of both large and small scale disasters (wildfires, windstorms, apartment building flooding, etc.). 

MLSA is providing a free, in-person legal services clinic to assist those who have been impacted by the recent wildfires. This clinic is open to all tribal members with civil legal needs. We encourage anyone with civil legal needs resulting from recent fires to attend.

We will be at the Crow Tribal Court on Wednesday, September 29th, from 9am until 5pm. To ensure you will have time to speak with an attorney, if you have a legal issue and are interested in attending the clinic, please apply by calling 406-442-9830 ext. 147 or emailing triballaw@mtlsa.org.
